Decision Research, Appulate Announce Strategic Partnership

Decision Research Corporation (DRC), provider of enterprise policy administration and rating software for the P&C industry and Appulate, a provider of forms parsing and data bridging technology for the P&C industry, announce a strategic partnership.

DRC will offer Appulate Uplink as an integrated component of its policy administration solution. The partnership will offer DRC customers best-of-breed connectivity to any agency management system, improving efficiency and quality while reducing agent data entry. In turn, Appulate will gain a distribution partner that offers market leading solutions for new business and policy administration for insurance carriers.

“This partnership brings DRC customers an effective and affordable turnkey solution for agent connectivity that will make it easier for carriers to do business with their distribution channels,” says Karen Yamamoto, president of DRC. “Appulate has been the leader in this space for more than a decade and we believe Agent Connectivity is the best solution available.”

“At a time when many policy administration vendors remain static with their capabilities, DRC has clearly demonstrated that it is working hard to develop capabilities that its customers demand,” says Dimitri Nikouline, CTO and co-founder at Appulate. “In this case, our integration will allow data to move reliably through the submission/quote/bind workflow for their customers to minimize costly data entry time.”

Appulate offers a middleware product that can either bridge data from the agent’s internal management software or be used by a carrier as a back-office forms parsing tool. It allows ACORD data to be more easily moved throughout the submission workflow to improve efficiency, and reduce the time associated with completing carrier application forms without the costly transaction fees associated with other solutions. When integrated with DRC’s policy administration solution, it provides carriers with an insurance distribution system that automates the submission workflow from quote generation to binding and issuance.
